Advanced user testing

Have you run usability tests with customers, but want to get better at it? Need to test remotely, or for mobile devices? Test faster for Agile projects? Present video highlights to management? This day-long workshop goes beyond our Intro To User Testing course to cover a variety of user-testing methods and tools in depth.

Using hands-on exercises and rich examples from New Zealand and overseas organisations we will cover:

• Which testing approach to use when (formative, summative, comparative, etc.)
• Testing different media (paper, clickable prototypes, mobile, site structures, etc.)
• Recruiting for in-person or online testing, matching incentives to participants
• Scripting the session with a variety of participant exercises
• Improving your moderating and note-taking skills
• Using recording tools to capture the session for later study
• Choosing from several methods for analysis and reporting

Each attendee will receive a pack of useful templates and sample documents, along with a copy of a popular Usability book.
