The professional
Nicole is passionate about creating logical, effective and usable user interfaces. Coming from a data visualization and cartography background, Nicole has both academic and pragmatic experience with usable user interface design.
At Optimal Usability, Nicole completed user interface design projects, producing detailed wire frames used as part of the final functional specification for the technical development teams for Westpac, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry for Culture and Heritage, ASB and Greater Wellington. Nicole has worked on expert reviews for over 40 clients. She has also worked extensively on other usability projects involving user testing and information architecture for clients such as ACC, Xtra, Biosecurity, Ministry of Tourism, Greater Wellington and Westpac.
Qualifications: Engineer Degree in Cartography and GIS Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.), Diploma in Multimedia.
The person
Nicole likes to do things with her hands, cooking, sewing, painting, pottery and to the great joy of her co-workers, baking cookies. Among Nicole’s other activities are tramping and going to the movies. Currently she doesn’t have much time for any of these things because she is busy being a mum.
