The professional
Nicole is passionate about creating logical, effective and usable user interfaces. Coming from a data visualization and cartography background, Nicole has both academic and pragmatic experience with usable user interface design.
At Optimal Usability, Nicole completed user interface design projects, producing detailed wire frames used as part of the final functional specification for the technical development teams for Vodafone New Zealand, Sproket, Westpac, Ministry of Tourism and ASB. Nicole has worked on expert reviews for over 45 clients. She has also worked extensively on other usability projects involving user testing and information architecture for clients such as ACC, Xtra, Biosecurity, Ministry of Tourism, Greater Wellington and Westpac.
Qualifications: Engineer Degree in Cartography and GIS Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.), Diploma in Multimedia.
The person
Nicole likes to do things with her hands, cooking, sewing, painting, pottery and to the great joy of her co-workers, baking cookies. Among Nicole’s other activities are tramping, going to the movies and playing indoor soccer, the last one resulting in a broken knee a couple of years back.
