The professional
Bridget brings exceptional experience in combining user experience requirements with commercial constraints and realities. She began her career in web design and analytics, and specialised in leading teams through user experience design projects. She likes figuring out what works well online, and improving the customer experience through logical and elegant design.
With experience in business strategy, management and web services, Bridget has unique insight into how to best balance usability with delivering quality projects that align with strategic imperatives of organisations. She feels that it’s important to get organisations enthused by showing the benefits of great usability, so that customer-centred design becomes a crucial part of business-as-usual activity.
Over the last 3 years with Optimal Usability, Bridget has worked on user experience and design projects with Telecom, KiwiBank, Westpac, The Parliamentary Service, Powershop, The Quit Group, The Reserve Bank, Ministry of Social Development, NZ Post and Parliamentary Counsel Office.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts
The person
Bridget spends most of her spare time enjoying toddler-friendly activities with her family. Priorities include the zoo, the beach and anywhere with a slide. Cooking remains a passion, as does venturing into the great outdoors and slightly lesser hills of Wellington.
