The professional
Annika has a strong web usability background. Creating a positive user experience, both informative and enjoyable, is an exciting challenge to her. In 3 years of work experience, she enjoyed applying a variety of research methods - from in-depth interviews to focus groups, cart sorting, mind maps and creative workshops. Occasionally, she worked on POS projects and ad effectiveness research as well.
Due to her language skills, Annika predominantly conducted international studies (in Russia, Norway, Korea, Czech Republic).She previously worked on developing websites for eBay, LG and Sony.
On the weekends, she is currently finishing her studies of sociology. In her final thesis, she compares the dynamics of workplaces in New Zealand and Germany.
Qualifications: BA in Sociology, BA in Journalism and Communication Science, working towards an MA in Sociology
The person
Annika’s off-time goal is to see as much of New Zealand as possible. Equipped with a pair of walking boots and an old station wagon, she takes long walks and weekend trips whenever she can. When the weather is fine, Annika likes to go and have a swim or skin-dive.
Playing the ukulele and singing are her means of recreation. In fact, everything with music or moving pictures in it provides perfect entertainment to Annika - especially when shared with flatmates and friends.Annika’s favourite sites
