Accessibility Audit

An Accessibility Audit of a website identifies potential issues for people who have visual, cognitive or motor impairments. The analysis involves the use of a series of automated tools and manual checklists to measure the accessibility of forms, tables, links, fonts, images, content (including readability), style sheets and scripting languages.

We test sites for compliance against international standards (WAI and Section 508) and use a variety of assistive technologies and emulators to ensure that your site caters for people with disabilities.

Benefits

Web accessibility has carry-over benefits for other users. Accessible web design contributes to better design for other users in different situations, such as low bandwidth environments. It can also accommodate different learning styles, low literacy levels and second-language access.

Typical deliverable

A report on any changes required to comply against international guidelines, typically 15 - 20 pages in length.

Typical duration

2 weeks.
